Because it seemed like the thing to do.  I don't think anyone is going to care.  Mainly this was just some Spring cleaning, getting rid of communities that have not been updated in a long time, or that I skip over the posts of.  Cutting people who have disappeared from the internet, have already defriended me, etc.
