My Body Hates Me
Apr. 14th, 2018 09:57 pmNo, seriously. I turn 40 this year. Whatever. I'm fat. Whatever. I have suddenly developed allergies. W.T.F. !?!?!
I am trying to track them. Coughing and wheezing due to tree pollen. I take stock of my symptoms before checking the allergy tracker pages/apps. If tree pollen is high, I'm wheezing, especially early morning or at night. I was worried that it was the cats or the dog, but a 36 hour trip to Gatlinburg had me wheezing worse than at home. Trees were in full bloom there at the time and only partially bloomed here.
Still, it's not too bad.
Until April Fool's Day/Easter Sunday. When I had a reaction to something. It caused a huge rash over my waisteline. I took a Benedryl that night and woke up to that rash being mostly gone and a new one on my breasts. And so it.goes. the rash starts.as.almost a.bug bite, then grows. It eventually resembles a ring worm infection or a bullseye rash, but just keeps spreading. Finally, it settles.down and.disappears, sometimes getting pretty big in the process. Spots the size of my closed.first. My doctor gave me a cream for it, which helps a little, I guess. The prednisone did not help at all.
I suspect it is something I am eating. I also have a suspect food, though I am holding off on testing that theory until I have more data. 2 days of food diary does not produce enough data.points.
I have another doctor's appointment on Tuesday with my family doctor. As Liz would say, it's my lady parts.appointment. I will talk to him about it then and go over options. Probably.get the name of a good allergist for testing. And talk to him about my migraines.
Right now, I'm an itchy mess. I have a huge spot on the back of my knee and sever spots on the back of my neck that are.slowly merging. Those really itch.
In other news, we have finally had some progress on the whole electrical issue. To remind people, the 200 amp breaker box in the basement is fed off a 100 amp breaker on the main level. We only have 200 amps coming into the house right now. The conduit for the new, 400 amp.service has been laid. The electrician is going to connect 400 amps to the house that will split into 200 amps for the basement and 200 amps for the rest of the house. I will get to do laundry and have heat at the same time!!! But, there have been many delays due to weather and equipment failure. But, progress!!!
We are.also currently waiting on a title search to be completed.on the house in order to get a home equity.line of credit. Yes, we just.refinanced, which actually makes it all easier since everything I ng is still valid. We just have to wait for this one piece of paperwork... Then, we can buy the 6.99 acres.that borders us!
Other than that... Work around the house. Using the chainsaw to clear brush that had popped up in the last 8 years. Not mowing the lawn because it is covered I. Little marker flags and I would hit them with my tractor. The push mower is in the shop because it was leaking gas all over the place. And, you know, not running
