I like that you never come outright and say that the child is House's, just as he never comes outright and owns up to it. But there is so much in his "covert" actions that indicate his concern, his care.
And the nightmares - so true to the fear that is prevalent in House when it comes to forming a connection with another human being, his fear that anyone he dares to care about is somehow doomed to unhappiness. And, I think, his fear that this little person, which is half himself, will suffer as her father suffers. Or maybe I reading way too much into this!
The nature of this fic reminded me of the H/C robot scene in the S2 finale: House touching Cameron without ever really touching her.
